DEFINE PARTNERSHIP

There is an old saying: 'If your owe your banker a million
dollars you are a customer, but if you owe your banker a billion
dollars you are a partner.'

Is there anyone out there that can define partnership in
economics?  How real economic partnership affect our lives?
