Though to avoid RIPA we don't have to go quite as far as providing forward secrecy since integrity only keys are not siezable under the act. My example uses a channel that is established by using Diffie Helman messages that are signed and used to establish a session key. When the protocol is over and the session key is destroyed RIPA can do nothing to you. That channel is RIPA secure as are many channels that work on similar principles. Simon.
