Polyethylene glycol synthesis..

hi,

i'm trying to dig up some basic info on polyethylene glycol for a
friend who doesn't know a thing about chemistry. i'm thinking you
could use ethylene oxide to synthesize it so...

what reagents would one use to open ethylene oxide in order to
synthesize polyethylene glycol?

if anyone has any interesting info on polyethylene glycol that would
help too.
