Re: Ultracapacitor bike

What fun I just had.

I ordered a 150 W sine wave inverter for $125. Or a 125W sine wave inverter for
$150. I don't remember.

Then I ordered the dimmable fluorescents I saw at bulbs.com. 2 x 15 w = 120
incandescent equivalent. Dimmable to 20% x 30 W electrical = 6 W electric, plus
6 idle = 12 electric, maybe 15 mechanical.

I have a scheme for measuring current.

The ammeter goes in the middle.

Everything else goes on the bus to the left or right of the meter, so you can
meaure different combinations. Each switch has a center off to remove the
load/source completely.

It should be compact, and fun.

Now, if I connect the dimmer slider to a Rohloff hub control.... he said,
wanking furiously.

Not gonna happen. The next platform for this vehicle is the Browing Automatic.

And the control is for _control_, thta is, adjustment to multidimensional
needs, like crashing uphill through the woods off trail at night!

Overhead is a little high, but.... you should try pedaling a BIG incadescent
headlight with a cold filament. Talk about quivering calves. At least this
thing has low drag until it lights off. At which point the fun begins.
