Re: chloride analysis



Hi,

Thanks for the response.  The problem is we do not have yet an ion
chromatograph.  So we decided to temporarily use an alternative means of
checking for the amount of  Chloride in the water.  As I have mentioned, we
used Silver nitrate to precipitate chloride as silver chloride and then use
the photometer to read on the absorbance.  This is because we have a
photometer.

So, I am interested if we are doing it right? And what are the things that I
need to concern my self with?  Any comments would be appreciated on how to
improve the accuracy of the test....
