A reader recognized a serious error in my comments regarding the previous 
ProMED-Plant posting on this subject (see reference below). I had 
unwittingly stated that _Erwinia rhapontici_ was a fungus. I stand 
corrected; _Erwinia rhapontici_ is a phytopathogenic bacterium.

I sincerely apologize for the oversight and I thank Nena Waight-Sharma for 
noticing the error.
