I think you are correct, when there is a danger that they will escape into the environment, however it is hard to see how they could go anywhere in this place. (Near Oman in the United Arab Emirates). It is extremely hot and arid outside our garden and there are certainly no wading birds around. I do hope to breed them in UK but again, being tropical fish I can't imagine them polluting that particular environment either. Apart from the danger of escape, what other factors would encourage such rulings, and by whom? Regards George.
