 It looks like larva of a ladybird beetle (lady bug) 
that is near time to pupate feeding on possibly a moth 
egg or scale. It won't be the problem. Tobacco and 
tomato hornworms will do quick damage...large 
caterpillar that blends with the tomato stem well.
