OLWW - Online Lepidopterists' Who's Who

The OLWW will be taken offline as of January 1, 2004 (or thereabouts).


Personally, I don't think this should cause anyone any hardship or
concern. With the increase in email communication, the number of
"Leppers" online and facile web search engines, the purpose of the
list -- especially considering how out of date it currently is -- is
no longer being served. In fact, I believe that the list has now
become a liability due to the predatory behavior of spammers.

If anyone REALLY wants to keep the OLWW going then I will happily turn
over the whole thing -- lock, stock and barrel -- including all of the
unimplemented updates that have been accumulating in my email to the
best victim, er, volunteer.
