Baton Rouge Observatory Activities Oct. 24-25



FRIDAY, October 24 
SPECIAL PRESENTATION...8:00 pm. Join Kelly Moore and Dr. Paula Deano
for a fascinating demonstration on chemistry. It will be fun,
entertaining and educational. Where else can you get all that for
free? 
TELESCOPE VIEWING...9:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Members of the Baton Rouge
Astronomical Society and LSU Astronomers support telescope viewing,
weather permitting. 

SATURDAY, October 25 
ALKA SELTZER ROCKETRY...10:00 am. Make a miniature rocket powered by
gases produced by foaming Alka-Seltzer tablets. Class time is 10:00 -
11:00 am. and is appropriate for children ages 7 and up.

Observatory hours
Monday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM 
Tuesday, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM 
Friday, 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM 
Saturday, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
