This lunations began with the eclipse of the sun on 23 Nov., ends in a new moon on 23 Dec., and culminates in a full Moon in Rohini, on 8 Dec. 03, at 0942 GMT, in 6 deg. 46 min. of sidereal Taurus. The chart has been erected with zero coordinates for a mundane reading. The asc. should be ignored. With this lunation we're finally starting to see a let-up in the wrathful condition of the heavens, which has been continuous for the last four lunations. The Moon has her mula trikona (a planetary dignity peculiar to Jyotish, something like a lesser exaltation) in Rohini. Rohini - the Red Cow - such a peaceful, benevolent, and productive place for Chandra Ma! The yoga karaka is Saturn in the 2nd. Saturn rules the 9th (a dharma house about guidance) and the 10th (a karma house about governments, fathers, reputation, and all that difficult stuff). So in this lunation we're going to start seeing our way clear to some reality about geopolitical guidance. I would call that the over-riding significance about Saturn here. There just is this little matter, folks, about how you do government, etc. right, and as a whole planet, we've made a royal mess of it. You just can't fake this without oversight. Oversight is not news. Oversight means that you've got thugs on the ground everywhere telling you what the news means. (Make no mistake about it; Saturn in Ardra IS a thug). The Moon's ruler here is Venus in the 8th house in Sag. (Why does this not surprize us?) This is a dangerous Venus, in the nakshatra of Moola, which has the power to destroy. In last month's chart, 8th house Venus with Ketu manifested as vehicular terror in Iraq. Venus here does disposit Ketu to the 8th, so there is still danger of this, but because of the benevolece of the Moon, I think that these continuing attempts MAY be apprehended. There has already been news of that out of Irag. The flatfoots have figured this one out. But Venus ruling the 1st, the 6th, and the Moon, in the 8th is sure to cause trouble. Because Sagittarius is associated with long journeys, and because Venus is in the Nakshatra where there was a Mars-Ketu conjunction at the time of 9-11 (Moola), I would say that there is a significant danger of more long-range terrorism in this lunation, involving mass transit. I don't think airplanes. The flatfoots have airplanes covered. I think railway systems, and transit stations. None of this has to manifest. But I think the plans will be laid, and the attempts will be made. If law enforcememt doesn't apprehend this stuff, there will be far-reaching terrorist strikes. The most dangerous day for terrorism in this entire lunation is the lunar transit to Mars in Aquarius, 11th from Moon, on 1 Dec, around 1800 GMT. Both the 11th house and Aquarius signify parliaments and legislatures, and it is these symbols of national pride that will be at risk for terrorism on that day. In the dasami, Mercury ruling the Moon, Ketu, and the 12th ruler Venus, is in the 11th. This is the 3rd, and usual lethal, indication of trouble in that area. The second most dangerous day for terrorism in this lunation is the lunar transit to Saturn, in Ardra in Gemini, on 10 dec. at about 2300 GMT. Because Saturn rules the 9th and 10th houses, which both indicate social and political leaders, it is those people who will be at risk for terrorism on that day. this includes both relgious leaders and members of the judiciary (9th), and political leaders per se (10th). I'm reading the dasami instead of the Navamsha for a varga extension, and I will continue to do this on these lunation readings, because what I focus on quite naturally is matters of government and political power, and the dasami (D10) is specific for that. The dasami here is pretty dreadful, having the Moon with Ketu and the 12th ruler Venus. In D10 Mars in the 6th in Scorpio with Saturn, who rules 8 and 9. So, again, there's this SAME message about intelligence (Scorpio and the 8th house), having to be worked at (6th house), by governments in trouble (Moon with Ketu and 12th ruler). Jupiter swakshtra 10th from the Moon in D10, is the third and lethal indication of governments at risk (Jupiter is malefic in the 10th). The interactions between states will simply be chaotic (Rahu 7th from Moon) As usual, this chart turns out to be an expansion of the meaning of the Nakshatra of the Moon.
