-- THE THREE ETERNAL LAWS OF USENET Godwin's Law states: 'Nazi' is evil. Bobo's Law states: Anything forbidden is automatically discussed forever. Viveshwar's Law states: 'kook' has the same effect as 'Nazi'. I finally, after much dibulation with software, got Gurudev's poems to print out, but I am SURE that no one else here on Usenet will endure all the grief. And the page-order is entirely garbled. I really don't understand why the pages could not have been recorded either in numeric order, or else as a folio, so that you could make a chapbook simply by folding the stack in half. Tomorrow, after my day's work, I will go to Kinko's copies, and cut and staple this wierd configuration into a proper chapbook that can be read by a human being. IMO, there is a reason why you and I have met on Usenet. This is the base chakra of the planetary mind, where everything is a fight for survival. And if the footprint of the Guru does not penetrate to the base chakra, I ask you, of what benefit is either the Guru or the base chakra? The coin of the realm here is the text file, not all of this complication with .ps and .pdf files. And why? Because the text file is robust and universal. It goes everywhere, it causes no trouble, it eats virtually no bandwidth or storage space, the most disadvantaged reader can access it with the slowest and most ancient cyber-dinosaur, and it is for all practical purposes inextinguishable. I would like to excerpt and comment on some of these precious poems on alt.jyotish. Is that permissible, and if so, could you give me a guideline for the permitted length of excerpts? Gurubrahma, Guruvishnu, Gurudevamaheshwara, Gurusatshakparabrahma Tasmai Shree Gurave Namo. Viveshwar
