Reincarnation is the keystone to the Hindu's caste system. The caste a
person is born to is dictated by their actions and attitude in their past
life.

This insures, very logically, that power and wealth says concentrated in
the elite few, and the elite few are served by the less elite many.

This makes as much sense as the divine right of kings in Europe.
