hello astronomy experts -
i'm looking for techniques for predicting dates on which the position of
the moon and sun as seen from a given position on earth are as follows:
- the sun is near sunrise
- the moon's position is near the horizon, above the point of sunrise.
if this is unclear, here's my picture worth a thousand words:
** (moon)
**
----------------------------------------------- (horizon)
***
***** (rising sun - not visible below horizon)
***
i recently missed an excellent photography opportunity under these
conditions and i'd like to track down this set of conditions again, this
time with camera in hand.
thanks!
