Funny too since I live in the middle of the LA > suburbs. Hey Brian. Well, its been over a month and still not Directway satellite. They installed a large pole (3" dia) on the roof and a couple of coaxs hanging down to the ground. I've called them several times but they keep putting people on the phone that don't speak english, and no one knows whats going on, and then they place me on hold for 15 mins. arrrgh I tried to call them yesterday and cancel but was told I had to wait 30 mins to speak with a representative. As of yet they haven't extracted any money from my bank account. Today I found a guy in a city 30 miles from here that will gladly install Starband early next week. He said he also installs Directway stuff, but they are going down. Their technology is flawed. So, I gave him my card number and set the deal, at least he spoke english and didn't put me on hold. This time next week, he assured me, I will be crusing the web like 4 m.f. I can't wait to tell this dialup to stick it where the sun don't shine. Where are you at in LA? I used to live in Lomita and Torrance, used to hang at the Strand, worked at Martin-Marrietta on Western Av. That was long, long ago, when I was a young buck.
