Yes and no.  I gave the theory underlying a reasonably efficient
data-reduction procedure, but the procedure itself was only sketched.

Sorry to disappoint you, but this IS the actual physics.  The
equations I gave are simply the parametric equations of motion
in an inverse-square-law field.  If you want to see more details,
I suggest you pick up any elementary celestial mechanics text and
look in the index for "eccentric anomaly."  This stuff is old.
