Specifically, they were said to be, not babies, but perhaps more like youngsters. (Perhaps this is quibble over what "fully formed" might mean.) Perhaps the Hubble images are too dizzy for the issue to be settled? One would then need a better telescope. Anyway, the claim was that their state of development were too far gone to be explained by current Big Bang models. Hans Aberg
