Solar System, the red planet, Mars! The planet shines in the evening sky
more brilliantly than it has over the past millennia. You’ll delight as
you gaze upon giant impact basins, colossal canyons, and fabulous
volcanoes. Learn about the latest robot vehicles currently on their way
to Mars. In addition, a tour of the autumn constellation will be included.

Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
SEASON OF LIGHT (Adult program: November 28 - December 28, 2003)
Get in the holiday spirit, as we tour the winter constellations and
explain the seasons on Earth. We’ll also explore possible astronomical
explanations for a "Star over Bethlehem." Was it a comet, meteor or
supernova?

AFRICAN EYES, AFRICAN SKIES (Adult program: January 21 - February 29, 2004)
Thousands of years ago, the people of Africa were astronomers. From
northern Egypt to the southern tip of the continent, they mapped the
sky, followed the phases of the moon, and charted their seasons by the
sun’s position on the horizon. Come share their knowledge and see the
stars through African eyes.
Showtimes:
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 3:00 p.m.
Closed February 16, 2004
FAMILY PROGRAMS
THE FRIENDLY STARS (Family program: September 27 - November 23, 2003)
Here’s an introduction to the sky for our youngest visitors. Come talk
to our day time star Sol, name the planets in orbit around the sun, and
find some of his brothers and sisters in the night time sky.

Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
WINTER STAR (Family program: November 28 - December 28, 2003)
Come observe the season of lights with us, from lights in the day and

reindeer!
