FRIDAY, November 21 BATON ROUGE LABYRINTH SOCIETY...7:00 pm. Labyrinths have existed since the beginning of time, but recently there's been a renewed interest in walking labyrinths as a tool for increasing creativity, relieving stress and reflection. Daria Woodside, a facilitator from the Baton Rouge Labyrinth Project, will discuss what a labyrinth is and possible connections between this mysterious symbol and the stars, sun and moon. Audience members will have the opportunity to learn to create their own finger labyrinths TELESCOPE VIEWING...8:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Members of the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society and LSU Astronomers support telescope viewing, weather permitting. SATURDAY, November 22 HYDRO ROCKET BUILDING CLASS...10:00 am. Join us in making a simple water rocket that actually flies. Learn about the principles of propulsion and aerodynamics. PLEASE BRING AN EMPTY TWENTY OUNCE SMOOTH SIDED PLASTIC SODA BOTTLE for this class. For children ages seven and up. Class time is from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon.
