There are aperture masks (Hartman mask variation) available for the LX200 (I own and use one) that are very helpful. I haven't used it in quite some time, but I'll tell you what I remember without checking my notes: The mask has 3 holes, 2 of which are triangles. The outer portion of the mask rotates, but this is used for another function. When you are exactly in focus, the 2 triangles appear as one. The mask will also tell you if you're too far in or too far out by the orientation of the triangle image. The cost of this is about $20...but it could be more today. If you do some research, you may be able to make one yourself.
