Since the 840K is in production as its successor, 740K availability is limited to whatever is still kicking around out there. So yes and no: Philips is still making ToUcams, just not the older 740K. K3CCD seems to have all the drivers etc needed to operate the 840K, but I loaded the Philips stuff as well (it's not that large), and am patiently awaiting first light with it (so far all I've got with it are some great images of light bulbs and trees! :o) Be advised that the threads on the ToUcam 840K are very fine, and some adapters do not fit properly. The adapter supplied by Adirondak does fit, and it's a simple matter of unscrewing the lens and screwing the adapter in its place... a one-minute job, no tools or skill needed (duh? :o) http://www.astrovid.com/toucam_pro_pcvc_740k_webcam.htm And no, I have no connections with or reasons to push Adirondak... save for the great service they've always provided me!
