If that's the requirement, the the Takahashi Mewlon 180 OTA on a cheap
cg5'ish mount would be the better answer for about $2300.  APO refractor
optics on a marginal mount that's very portable - cheaper and better optics
than the meade 7, way better than the Orion 127
