Something to consider:  A scope does not need to reach thermal equillibrium to
provide pleasurable and exciting views....

As with less than perfect seeing, one can make allowances for a scope that has
not cooled and enjoy it as it is.

A 10 inch Newtonian can take a while to cool down too...
