"I don't know for sure whether this is a forged inscription, and I'm sort of cast as a defender of the inscription. I'm not," said moderator Hershel Shanks, editor of the Biblical Archeology Review, which published the initial findings. "What I do know is, Israeli authorities have badly managed the affair."
Keep in mind the BAR has no academic standing whatsoever.
Keep in mind Dr. Thiering "accepted the media reports that the alleged ossuary of James is a fake."
In what manner does that give her some small measure of respectibility?

If you take the time to study Thiering articles in close detail, I believe you will notice your own deficiency by badly underestimating the strength of her arguments based on objective data.
It is your responsibility to do any such re-evaluation; otherwise, your comments here come off as polemic and nobody knowlegeable will take you seriously when you comment on Dr. Thiering or Christian/Qumran Origins at all.
If you continue your typical slanging, I just drop out as a correspondent on the newsgroup for you.
