The Oseberg ship has for a long time been known for being very little
seaworthy.

However, some time ago I read a note somewhere saying that the ship
may have been wrongly reconstructed (it was in a bad and crushed state
when they found it), and that this error may account for its bad
seaworthiness.

So maybe the ship originally was better for sailing.

But I have no further details about this. Has anyone else heard about
this theory of wrong reconstruction?
