Red blotch on Kuhli

I've noticed a small red blotch on my Kuhli, near his gills.   His behavior
is normal, and he is his usual energetic feeding self.

There have been several "optimizations" to the tank lately, which may have
stressed him, including water and gravel change.

The LFS suggested I add 2 Tbsp of Salt to my 15 Gal tank, which I've done.

What is this blotch?  What is Kuhli's pronosis?  Is there *anything* else I
can do to help him along?
