It's very hard to like or love a god who kills us in a thousand ways...
he's drowns us, plans to burn us someday, has bears kill young naughty
boys, had the Hebrews smash babies heads on rocks, created parasites and
diseases to make us suffer and die, allowed slavery and encourages forced
marriages.  On and on it goes.  Anyone who reads the OT would realize this
god is a real nightmare come true.
