It's possible you will get your first egg after 21st Dec when it starts getting a bit lighter again, if you are the UK. If you don't, don't worry, they will lay when they will lay if you have no artificial light to give them a long daylength. Hybrids kept outside are *very* fussed about the weather. IME. Tina
