Re: Questions about the taste of fruits in general

Hi jeff,
there are plenty of fruits out there which don't taste fruity and
aren;t cultivated for food. One great example is miracle fruit. It's a
small tropical fruit about the size of an olive. This thing has
abosilutely NO taste....hence it is not cultivated. But, most people
don't know that when this fruit is eaten it coats the mouth in
something that makes other things taste great. Ive eaten whole lemons
after eating mirace fruit and it was great. There are heaps of others,
but...i dont want to write a whole book right now.
But the basic answer to your question is that these fruits arent
cultivated because its hard to sell flavourless fruit to the public,
there's no money involved in these products, and money makes the world
go round :)
