Hello.... I have several largish hives which I want to move to a new location. I only have experience with moving small hives (just a brood box) long distance (several miles)....but I have hives with 2 or 3 supers which I need to move and would like some ideas on how to do it as strapping the WHOLE hive together and moving it at once (presumably the best method) might be a bit heavy. Additionally I've read several articles on moving a hive, regarding the minimum distance you have to move a hive....I would like some input on this as well, as there is one hive which would need to be moved only 50m (150ft) and another 100m (300ft)....which are below what I've read (1mile) but far enough to make it un-viable to move them 2m at a time to the new location. If I moved them 150ft.....what is the worst that would happen? Many Thanks in advance. Daniel.
