The video standard burden: buying an NTSC camera for europe

I'm having a friend buy a VX2100 in America for me here in Europe
(a lot cheaper even with taxes paid)

I'm interested, what are all the inconveniences with having an NTSC
camera in Europe?

What are the shortcomings of NTSC towards PAL (except the six pixel
difference)
As far as i know PAL has a 25fps rate and NTSC has 30

How will this effect my picture quality
I'm buying the camera to shoot my amaterur films with it, an a high
video frame rate is only a handicap.
When i convert the material recorded in NTSC (30fps) to PAL standard
(25fps) or even 24 how big will the degradation be?

Are the manual shutter speeds on the NTSC version the same as on a PAL
version and what are they?

Can anyone tell me anything about any other differences between these
two models, and about any disadvantages i might have with it
