There's been a ton of theories and speculation presented as facts regarding how a show gets on ppv. If anyone really knows, perhaps you can debunk some myths and answer some questions? 1. I produced a show and want to air it, how do I start the process? 2. Do they really take 50% 3. Are blocks of time sold in hourly periods? Quarterly? Are refunds given for unused time. 4. Why would a ppv carrier refuse to air an event when they have 300 channels available, most of which are used solely to broadcast the same old films over and over? How can a $4.95 six month old film make any more $$$ for them over any sort of live ppv event? 5. Do they charge more for live events over taped ones? How so? 6. Why do so many up and coming promotions seem to have difficulty airing their shows on ppv, especially when I've seen everything from toughman to tractor pulls regularly on ppv? I'm gonna try find some google forums to post this on also.
