Flat cables work just fine. I have three. My Dishnetwork install has the Dishpro stuff and it works fine. It works great for Bell ExpressVu with a standard Dish 500. My third one goes through my bedroom window for Ku-band FTA signals from Telstar 5 or wherever else I point the dish.
