The DirecPC adds a distraction to this, but no real difference.

Depending on your zip code, your locals might be on the 101 bird anyway.
That has nothing to do with DTivo, per se.  It might complicate multi-set
cabling at the dish, but you already have multiple receivers.  Your DTivo is
just exactly like two separate receivers as far as cabling is concerned.

So now you have "four".  Three obvious ones, but count the DTivo twice.

Yep.  Your multiswitch probably has four outputs on it, three are used now.
Add one more cable from the dish/multiswitch to the DTivo.

There is one receiver charge for the dual receiver in the DTivo.  There is
a separate DTivo programming charge of $4.99 that covers more than one
DTivo, but your bill will increase by $4.99 over what it used to be if you
don't already have the top package, where the DTivo fee is included.
