>Some cable systems map the local OTA channels 2, 4, 5, 7, and 9 >to 32, 34, 35, 37, and 39. Your old cable ready VCR can't record on 37 or >39. That used to be illegal. The local TV station was supposed to be on the assigned channel on the cable box unless it was a high UHF channel beyond that cable converter count (52 channels on my last one) then it was converted down.
