MP3 on DVD?

I know some DVD players will play MP3 on DVD, but mine a Panasonic S35
only does MP3 on CD. I would like to get more music on a single piece
of media with a DVD.

I wonder if there is a way around it, by building mpg's with a single
repeated video frame and sound derived from the mp3 file.  and putting 
these on a DVD.
