I own a a06 as well and ripping using dvd decrypter only takes 10 to
20 mins but no longer than 20 mins. Speed will depend on your pc as to
how fast it will rip but as you say your other drive processes it
faster.

I have the a06 set as master.
the a06 is set at about 2x ripping speed but this shoudn't take any
longer than 20 minutes.
