Re: Play problem

The UK is R2 as you rightly assumed, but the  broadcast standard in the UK
is PAL.  It seems your player is not NTSC compatible.  You also will need to
check that your tv is capable of NTSC playback as well.  NTSC is the
standard used in North America(region 1)
