Printing on media

Does HP make any kind of Inkjet printer with the same capibility as the 
Epson Photo 900 or Photo R300?

I've got all HP printers at home and work to cut down on ink costs.  But 
I'd like to print directly on the media now that label costs are higher 
than blank media (CD's) and since you can't (shouldn't) put labels on 
DVDs.

I've been going over the various printers on the HP site, but it's all 
confusing.
