Problem with Loomax DVD-X-50 DivX-Player

I recently bought this player, and unfortunately, there are some problems.
Whereas I can play smaller DivX-Videos (5.05) on CDs without problems, the
player would not even recognize the disc if the disc is filled with one
single DivX-video, say 695 MB on a 703 MB disc.  The player simply says "NO
DISC".  I have tried it out, even with the same DivX-settings during
encoding (i.e. no quarter pixel, no GMC, no bidirectional encoding) for
smaller files and for a larger file.  The Loomax support so far has not
replied to my inquiry.
Does anyone have the same player and could give me any hints ?
