Well, I think it is important to post accurate information. I have used literally thousands of Ritek G03 2X DVD-Rs in both my Panasonic e30 and e80 and have never had any problems whatsoever. It is NOT TRUE that these units will not operate properly with 2X media. I have not tried 4X, so I cannot comment, But, 2X works perfectly fine. In addition, I have seen you post several times that the Panasonic e80 cannot dub from the HDD to DVD-R in anything but 1X mode and this is also incorrect. There is a HIGH SPEED mode for dubbing from HDD to DVD-R or to/from HDD and DVD-RAM. It will copy two hours worth of video to DVD-R in about 35 minutes. It will copy 2 hours to DVD-RAM in about 25 minutes. I *do* own both an e30 and an e80 and I know from where I speak. --John A.
