IM Getting A DVD Player for Xmas

Im getting a DVD for Xmas. But I never rent movies. I have digital cable
with about 50 movie channels and ON Demand movies. Im getting a DVD
because somebody asked me what I wanted and said DVD because i couldnt
think of anything else to say. Just what will I see on a DVD movie that
is different from a VHS? What are these features like Interactive menus
etc...etc. My library has DVDs. Is it possible to have the best of both
systems? Bob
