If you have a camcorder that has a firewire output and a video recorder that has a firewire input (many DVD recorders have this), you can sometimes copy protected videos. The signal has to be taken from the video player to the camcorder's AV or SVHS inputs and taken out through the camcorder's firewire connection to the video recorder. Not sure why it only works some of the time, but it is useful to know. It is not a true copy however because the menu operation of the DVD is not duplicated. Anyone else successfully used this technique? > >
