IMHO I have found that the VCR's that are included in "Packages" ie bundled, units are cheap units and usually 2 head mono or 4 head mono, as well as the fact that when one part of the package breaks down, you are out of circulation with the whole package. Where as components allow you to change one part of your system with an upgrade with out having to change the whole system, just my opinion.
