Just because it's new dosen't mean it has the latest firmware :-) It
may have been sitting on a shelf for six months.. In the last six
months there have been 3 firmware upgrades for the 1300, the latest is
1.08. It is damn hard to find on the NEC site, you end up in NEC
Germany!

You can also get a hacked version of 1.08 which will region free your
drive from http://herrie.rpc1.org Read his FAQ page before
downloading...
