New Releases: Warner genre sets, Troma, The Kroffts: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB & info lists



Warner Brothers adds a couple of more to their 'Best' four pack series. Best
Leading Ladies: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof / Prince and the Showgirl / Star Is
Born / Woman of the Year and Best Of The 40's: Adam's RIb / Big Sleep /
Maltese Falcon / Midred Pierce will be released for $65.92 each on December
2nd.

>From Artisan something for people into motorcycles. American Chopper: Black
Widow and American Chopper: Firebike comes out on December 16th for $14.95
each.

Some announcements confirmed from Troma. Angel Negro: Director's Cut,
features South America's highest grossing horror flick. Extras are listed as
Introduction by Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment and Creator
of the Toxic Avenger, Director's Commentary with Troma Team Translation,
Making Of Angel Negro Documentary, Director Jorge Olguin Interview by Lloyd
Kaufman at Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, Original Trailers, Troma PSA:
Radiation March, Terrific Troma Goodies: Make Your Own Damn Movie and
Hidden Easter Egg. Release date is December 9th with a retail list of
$19.95. Due out on February 3rd, Troma has Viral Assassins and Troma Triple
B-Header: Blades / Blood Hook / Zombie Island Massacre.

Sub Rosa Studios has Black Home Years Ago: The Real Casino, a look at the
real people presented in the film Casino and The Removers, basically the Sid
and Marty Krofft world for adults.  Both are set for a February 3rd release
date.

Speaking of Sid and Marty Krofft, Rhino has set for a January 20th release,
H.R. Pufnstuf: The Complete Series. Included as extras are Brand New Audio
Commentary & Interviews With Sid & Marty Krofft Exclusive Interviews with
Billie Hayes, Jack Wild & TV Historian Hal Erickson, Original 1950s Krofft
Pilot "Irving" , Stolen "Freddie The Flute" News Coverage. The three disc
set features all 17 episodes uncut for a list price of $39.95.

Rykodisc will release the Disinformation: The Complete Series on February
3rd. This set features all four episodes plus segments From the Original
Channel 4 Series that Were Edited Out Of the Sci Fi Channel Version This
includes the full episode featuring Lucifer Principle Author Howard Bloom
Hilarious McDonald's Spoofs by Australian "Disinformant" John Safran. List
price is $24.95.

For the kids Alpha Video has Critter Gitters: 1st Set, Critter Gitters: 2nd
Set, Critter Gitters: 3rd Set and Critter Gitters: 4th Set due on January
27th for $9.99.

Alpha Video has a blitz of titles set for January 27th, all for $9.99.
Almost all genres are represented and all will list for $9.99. You may find
a favorite old film here but the technical quality may vary widely. They
have in this release set a couple of the old time serials. Whispering Shadow
#1: Chapter 1-6 (Serial), Whispering Shadow #2: Chapter 7-12 (Serial) from
1933 featuring Bela Lugosi and Sea Raiders #1: Chapters 1-6 (Serial), Sea
Raiders #2: Chapters 7-12 (Serial) with the Dead End Kids. They also have
the silent, 1922 film Foolish Wives.

Alpha from the thirties: I Cover The Waterfront, Phantom Of The Range,
Valley Of Terror and Bulldog Drummond's Bride.

Alpha from the forties: Gang's All Here, Jungle Man, Freckles Comes Home,
Two Weeks To Live, Tiger Fangs, Submarine Alert, Strange Illusion, Sin Of
Harold Diddlebock, Inner Sanctum, Alimony.

Rounding out Alpha's January 27th blitz: Quicksand, Beatniks, Silent Night
