Normally I'm a big fan of extended editions, except for one specific case: Monty Python's 'The Meaning of Life'. The new DVD that just came out today has an option for a director's cut with three deleted scenes. Either these scenes were only put back in as a big joke (and/or were never meant to be included in the first place), or Terry Jones has very questionable tastes, because the new scenes are totally stupid (there's one about Martin Luther being obsessed with spoons, another one about war being responsible for certain items of men's clothing, and a couple of new scenes at the hotel with the obnoxious tourists). -- "Boom. Boom boom boom. Boom boom. BOOM. Have a nice day." - Susan Ivanova, B5
