motorola DCT2244/1161/abcdefg help

i have a few questions
1 the box is stuck on zero can it be reset by user so i can use it for a basic tuner?

2 can itbe accssed via the builtin modem (jerrold starfone mdl# sft2) if so how modem 
to modem using hyper tor pcplus????

3 can it be accessed via the on board rs 232 port in any way?

Iam just lookng to get it back to basic function thats all i am willing to $$$$$
