Re: Modulated Channel Interference

I understand your frustration -- it's never fun when something doesn't work quite right. Considering the end product, though, it's usually worth it to keep at it until it does. The 4 channels I have inserted are 2 digital cable boxes, VCR/DVD player, and PC. The ability to view or listen to any of those at any TV set in the house has been very well worth the time taken to set it all up.

It's possible that the LPF is defective, however, it's also entirely possible that it's the splitter that has the problem. Shouldn't be so, but perhaps it can't handle 25dBmV on one leg while getting 12dBmV from another source on the other leg.

Don't let it get the best of you.

I don't think I've tried either of those. I'm going to scrap it. The
bought all the pieces suggested in the manual, ie combiner, filter and never
really satisfied. Everything goes to crap the minute I combine the signal
with the cable. I paid $6 for the splitter and $34 for the filter. Thanks
for all your help but I going to send the stuff back. I'm sure it isn't the
equipment but I'm tired of buying stuff. The 1ch modulator I bought at
radio shack to test to see if it was the modulator, when I brought it back
the guy said "we never have a problem with these?" I think I'm well capable
of installing correctly but I think there is something causing my problem.
Oh well. Thanks.
