Hello,
I have the following equipment and want to know how to hook up a new
DVD player.
JVC RX505V Receiver (Video Inputs VCR, Video, (+ TV output)
(Audio Inputs: VCR, Video, Phono, CD, Tape 1, Tape
2)
Digital Cable Box
Stereo VCR
Mitsubishi TV (Does have S-Video Connection that is currently not
being used)
The current Configuration is as follows:
Cable Outlet
To: 2 way Cable Splitter
Output:
1 Line to Digital Cable Box (In)
2nd Line to A/B Switch
Cable Box Out to VCR (In)
VCR (Out) to Second connection on A/B Switch
A/B Switch output to TV Cable connection
This allows for watching analog TV while recording Digital
channels.
Also my Stereo VCR is hooked up to my receiver thru Audio In/Out (Left
and Right)4 connections and Video In/Out 2 connections.
My question is how should I connect a new DVD player? There is a
S-Video Input on the back of my TV but how would the audio be
connected? Appears that everything is currently connected thru the
stereo VCR to the Receiver.
I would like to buy a separate DVD player that can also use the
receiver for stereo sound.
Thanks for any advice;
